Ponte`s Diner in Fairfield

Great home cooked style meals and service. They also provide complementary chips and salsa. I loved that most customers seemed to know each other, seems popular with the locals. The place got fairly full on a Wednesday for lunch. The staff was super nice and attentive. We stopped by on our way to Houston and happy we did. My picky sons (7 and 11) devoured the food too! All reviews were great, which is why we decided to stop by. The only thing is that the place could use a little updating, but minor compared with the warmth of the staff and the yummy food 😉

We stopped at this little diner on our way to the coast for out cruise! The staff was beyond friendly and conversational. The food was quick and delicious! The portions are huge for the value! We will definitely be stopping by again on our next road trip!

Good quality, delicious meals with no fake eggs :-) and massive portions. A side of bacon easily has 6-8 pieces perfectly thick and crisp. No wimpy microwave bacon here. Then there's the biscuits. Did your grandparents ever make cat's head biscuits? Mine did and that's just what these were, the size of a cat's head and fall apart with a good cream gravy. No watery nastiness to be found. The blueberry pancakes were so loaded with blueberries the pancake was purple inside. I was sad when my kid couldn't eat more of them. We will definitely come again.

Awesome shakes... Chips and salsa at the table was nice as i saw more burger items on menu. Salads and daily specials... Recommended as a traveller stop...

We drive between Houston and Fort Worth and stop here every time. We get the TexMex food and their chips and salsa is always good. The burgers and shakes are also great. There was a lot of chicken in my enchilada.

The place has always been clean each time we've stopped; we've never seen anything crawl, despite other comments. They have a huge selection in their menu, the food has always been great, and the service has always been good.

Pretty darn good food. Service was excellent. They really could clean up the place so it gets 4 stars. Definitely surprised that the food was so good.

Ponte's Diner is always a great place to eat. The staff are friendly, curtious, and always willing to take care of your needs. The food is always delicious and the restaurant is clean.

Food was good but service was terrible!!! They have 6 workers in the front and nobody acknowledged us for about 10 minutes. Server seemed to be in a bad mood.

Very good food.... we ate breakfast there two days in a row! Really good pancakes bacon and sausage were both delicious. The homemade biscuits are the bomb.

Food was very good. The bacon wrapped jalapenos are killer but not for those with weak taste buds. Excellent selection. Diner style, very relaxed atmosphere.

As diners go, Ponte's is as good as it gets. They have a good variety of food on the menu and everything I ate was delicious! The service was great. They whole experience was much better than expected.

The catfish is excellent here. Would recommend it any time. The peach cobbler was fantastic too!

We had breakfast here one day and dinner another day.Both meals were excellent, the pancakes were fresh and the bacon was crispy.Dinner was turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and peach cobbler, EVERYTHING was amazing and tasted homemade and fresh. The waitress could’ve been a bit friendlier, but other than that no complaints.

This sandwhich was the reason I drove almost 30 minutes to get to the restraunt! Delicious onion rings as well.
